Ministering to God through Intercessory Worship
Since September 2012
Why a house of prayer?
"One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek Him in His temple."
"The fire on the altar is to be kept burning; it must not go out."

Jasper House of Prayer is a region-wide, multi-denominational worship and intercessory ministry located in Kirbyville, Texas. A prayer center where multiple congregations ~ the Church of the City ~ can work together, engaging the heart of God through ministry to Him, to change the spiritual atmosphere of our city and surrounding area.
JHOP is a place where all kinds of Christian prayer occurs for the nations of the Earth and the community we live in. We believe God desires 24/7 intercessory worship, teaching and the unifying of the body of Christ in our community through prayer.
Just as there are individuals in congregations who are called to teach, preach and foreign missions, we believe God is calling people to pray for their community. These “Prayer Missionaries” are not called to leave their congregation. However, they do/will have a desire to pray with others who have the same heart and calling for the community. The House of Prayer is a place where they will meet to serve the Lord in their ministry of prayer.
Jasper House of Prayer is devoted to ministering to the Lord Jesus Christ by serving the Land of Jasper, Jasper-Newton counties, with fervent intercessory prayer, worship and fasting as a foundation for the effective outreach to the lost and poor.
As Christians cross congregational, racial, denominational and various other lines to seek God’s heart together for their area, God will pour out a blessing on all the congregations. This results in increased levels of the Holy Spirit’s activity over the entire region.
